Description

Natural Black Raffia

A 50g bundle of natural black raffia – perfect for adding a bold, eco-friendly, finish to your gift wrapping.

Eco-Friendly

Raffia is a completely natural fibre, made from the leaves of the raffia palm. It is 100% recyclable – place in the paper recycling.

This is not a long roll of synthetic raffia, but rather a 50g bundle of natural raffia fibres, containing many individual strands. Each strand varies in thickness and length (approximate length is 1m / 3-4ft). This variation is a mark of the raffia’s eco-friendly credentials, and reflects the uniqueness of this natural product.

Natural Dyes

This natural raffia is dyed with vegetable-based, vegan-friendly dye. Other available colours are Red and Dark Green. I also have a natural, undyed raffia.

Gift Wrapping Uses

This natural black raffia is a great, eco-friendly alternative to synthetic gift-wrapping ribbons. Create a modern, bold look by using it with my monochrome papers, in my Dachshund and Frenchie ranges.

You can also use raffia as additional packaging for gifts to nestle in. Place this black raffia inside a gift bag or gift box for an additional element to your gift wrapping. Or, why not use as a natural filling in a hamper.

You can also use raffia to add a beautiful, rustic touch to items that you might find tricky to gift wrap in the traditional way. For example, why not tie a bunch of lengths around a bouquet of flowers, or a plant pot, and finish with a big, bold, bow. Alternatively, you could use it to attach gift tags to jars brimming with your homemade preserves.
